Introduction to Genealogy
Friday, September 28th ~ 2-4 pm
Larry Clark, head of Genealogy in the Porter County Library System and Porter county Historian, will be presenting a program on tips for starting or continuing your genealogy search.

Genealogy Searching
Tuesday, October 2nd ~ 10-12 pm
Join our Indiana Librarian for a fun class featuring our trio of Genealogy computer databases. Genealogy begins at home—so bring your names, dates, and places! You’ll be surprised how easy it is to search these databases.

Lake County Historical Resources
Saturday, October 13th ~1-3 pm
Marlene Poster, Lake County Genealogist and Vice President of the Northwest Indiana Genealogy Society, will be presenting a program about sources available in Lake County for family and historical research.

German Heritage in the Region
Friday, October 20th ~ 1-3 pm
Richard Lytle, local History Librarian at the Hammond Public Library, and Vice President of the Hammond Historical Society, will present a program about early German influence in the region. A slideshow will highlight prominent Hammond citizens of German descent.
