Lake County Public Library's Ask a Librarian service is a convenient way for genealogists to obtain obituaries, make genealogy appointments, and receive brief answers to simple genealogy questions. The link for our Ask a Librarian service is located on the upper left side of our home page. When e-mailing for an obituary look-up, please include the person's name, the city, and the death date. The social security death index is often helpful in finding death dates.
