Find this set in the Indiana/Genealogy room at the Central Library in Merrillville.
This set of 21 volumes is a wonderful resource for finding German church parishes from the mid to late 1800's. German parishes are defined by the towns that are assigned to each parish. There is an index in the back of each volume of all the towns included on the maps. The emphasis is on Lutheran and Catholic parishes.
Besides the parish maps, this set provides helpful historical background for the various districts of Germany.
